Adult Services

The Work Services Program provides a variety of paid work opportunities that develop work skills and aptitude that enhance each participant’s employability.  The program environment attempts to simulate a community-based work environment while under the supervision of staff that provides the structure and skills required for participation in remunerative activities.

Work opportunities include:

  • Hand assembly

  • Hand packaging

  • Collations

  • Mailings

  • Use of packaging equipment

  • Cleaning/janitorial

  • Use of automated packaging equipment





  1. Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.

  2. Have a primary diagnosis of a developmental disability documented by a psychologist or psychiatrist.

  3. Have a valid social security number.

  4. Any individual taking medication must be able to safely and effectively self-administer such medications.

  5. Behavioral problems must be such that they do not interfere with active treatment goals, present a danger to the individual or others, or exceed the licensed regulations for the facility.

  6. Must be certified free of communicable diseases by an M.D.

  7. Must have a record of receiving a tetanus booster with the past ten years by an M.D.

  8. Must have funding established prior to admission to the program (see Referral Process).

  9. Must possess the skills and abilities to work at 25% of the industry norm on all work tasks presented.
