The Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. School for Exceptional Children, located in Tinley Park, Illinois, has provided services for students with special needs since 1952. Throughout the years, hundreds of students have attended the school and been provided with educational services based on best practices in the field of special education.  The Kennedy School will continue to adopt and utilize best practices to meet the ever-changing needs of the student population.

The vision is to provide a positive school environment where students become independent through a variety of experiences focused on academics, community involvement, occupational skills and social-emotional learning.
