The Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. School for Exceptional Children believes that community-based experiences are essential for growth and development for students with special needs. Students are provided opportunities to participate in the community on a weekly basis.
The Community Outreach Coordinator communicates with various businesses and agencies in the area to develop partnerships so that our students may visit or work in the community.
Since participation in the community is an integral part of education, the Community Outreach Coordinator provides professional development to businesses and agencies on disabilities, as well as how to help integrate students or adults with special needs into the community.
